Visitor information

Frequently asked questions

Helpful answers before your visit.

Is every activity available every day?

No. Events and vendors run on different dates. Choose your visit date on the home page. Bookable times for photos, kimono and rickshaw experiences are published as they are confirmed.

Are park admission and activity fees separate?

Yes. Combined admission to the Natural and Cultural Gardens and Japanese Garden is ¥450 for senior high school students and older, and free for junior high school students and younger. Food and paid activities cost extra. Park admission also applies when joining a free workshop.

What are the park opening hours?

The park opens from 9:30 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30. Each activity and vendor has its own operating hours; see the individual pages.

Do events take place in the rain?

Most events take place in rain. Rickshaw rides and HOLBEIN outdoor sketching are cancelled in wet weather; covered drawing tables remain open. Severe weather may cause further changes. Updates will be posted on this site and Suita Biyori’s Instagram.

How do I make a booking?

Select “Check times & book” on an activity page for photos, kimono, rickshaw rides or photo walks. Choose your plan, party size and time, enter your details and pay online. Combination plans are available only when every included activity is available.

How can I view my booking?

Open “My bookings” and enter the email address used when booking. Follow the private link sent by email to view your reference, date, party size, plan, amount and status. You can use another phone or computer, without creating a password.

What if I do not receive the email?

Check your spam folder and the email address you entered. Wait a little before requesting another link. If it still does not arrive, contact Suita Biyori through the contact form or Instagram DM with your booking reference, if known, and the time you booked. Do not pay again simply to check a booking.

When is my booking confirmed?

Your booking is confirmed after the payment result is matched to your reservation. A provisional hold lasts 35 minutes. Late payments or other discrepancies need review. If your status says “Payment under review”, check My bookings or contact Suita Biyori.

What is the cancellation policy?

For bookings on this website: 100% refund until 23:59 three calendar days before the event; 50% until 23:59 on either of the two following days; no refund on the event date. All deadlines use Japan time. Submit a cancellation request through My bookings. A request is not a completed cancellation or refund; staff must process it.

Can I change my date or plan?

A move to another date at the same price is free if requested at least three calendar days before the original date and space is available. Reductions in party size or price follow the cancellation rules for the cancelled portion, based on the original date. Please request changes through the contact form or Suita Biyori’s Instagram DM.

What if an activity is cancelled by the organiser?

Fees for activities the organiser cannot provide will be refunded. If only part of a combination is cancelled, only that part is refunded. Rain cancellation of a rickshaw ride refunds the rickshaw portion. Refunds normally go to the original payment method without an extra refund fee; card statements may update later.

Can I join without a booking?

The HOLBEIN drawing workshop is free and needs no booking. Rickshaw walk-ups are accepted when there is availability, after advance bookings. Food is sold directly at each stall. Joining instructions for bonsai and reclaimed-material art will be announced on their pages.

Can I join the photo walk with a smartphone?

Yes. Beginners and smartphone photographers are welcome. Sessions last two hours with up to eight people: 10:00 on 9 November, 13:00 on 17 November and 14:30 on 26 November. Meet at the reception tent in front of Senri-an 15–30 minutes before your session.

How do I receive my portraits?

The photographer sends JPEG files to the email address used for booking. The delivery schedule will be explained at your session. Consent to use your photos for social media or publicity is optional and is not a condition of participation or purchase.

When must I return my kimono?

Return rental kimono by 16:00. Dressing costs ¥4,000 and takes about 30 minutes per person. Keep valuables with you; they are not accepted for storage. Please ask in advance about sizes or children.

What if I will be late?

Contact Suita Biyori through the contact form or Instagram DM as soon as possible. Extensions or transfers to another slot are not guaranteed. Short rickshaw rides require arrival by the exact start time. Activities shortened or missed because of late arrival are treated under the same-day cancellation policy.

Where can I check allergens and dispose of containers?

Ask each vendor about ingredients and allergens before ordering. Return used food and drink containers to the vendor that supplied them. There is no shared event rubbish bin.

How can I contact the organiser?

Use our contact form or send an Instagram DM to @suitabiyori. The team aims to reply to ordinary enquiries within 24 hours. If you need help at the event, you can also speak to a nearby event staff member.

What if I booked through another service?

Check your reservation with the service you booked through. Its payment, change and cancellation conditions apply. My bookings on this site shows reservations made directly through this website.
